Your plans are great. Up to now I was almost the only one "working" on the fallacies (I did nothing at them for about a year). --Tk [[User_talk:Thomas_Kettenring|(t)]] 10:14, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Fmt

Whats (fmt) mean?--Fang 23 14:02, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

It's a contraction of 'format'. I've been learning HTML, so I probably picked it up from there.--Doddy 12:09, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Clarify

Thanks a lot for clarifying some of my statements that weren’t clear.--Fang 23 05:20, 27 March 2007 (BST)

translation of creationist claims to hebrew

hey there Doddy,

i noticed that you are one of the active members of EvoWiki, and i have a small problem which i was hoping you could help me with.

i am the manager of a Israeli forum which his subject is evolution.

this is the forum:

http://www.tapuz.co.il/tapuzforum/main/forumpage.asp?id=938

many users of my forum have english which is not so good, and hence they are having problems reading the "creationist claims" section.

me and a few more users have decided to translate the "creationst claims" section and place it in the forum FAQ section.

we are doing so with non-commercial intentions, and with the wish to contribute to the Israeli evolution society.

however, one of the users of my forum has noted that there is a problem translating the material since the forum which i manage is a forum which has banners/ads and hence we may violate the terms of service of EvoWiki (because the forum has ads)...

i was wondering if i could get an explicit authorization to translate the "creationist claims" section into my forum.

i understand that you are probably not the one who decides on such manners.

but if you could refer me to the one who is in charge here (and who could give me an authorization i would be glad..) --Caligola 11:38, 9 May 2007 (BST)

That would probably be Joe (aka Steinsky). I'm not too sure on the copyright restrictions side of things, so he would be the one to talk to if we can indeed give such an authorization.--Doddy 13:35, 9 May 2007 (BST)
thanks mate, i'll ask him. --Caligola 14:04, 9 May 2007 (BST)

Admin

I guess you are an administrator now. --tk 10:47, 31 July 2007 (BST)

Thanks, and to Mr A and Fang for supporting me.--Doddy 13:26, 31 July 2007 (BST)

Filter Privileges

I just edit those specific sections, rather than the entire page. What browser do you use?--Mr A. 15:02, 19 August 2007 (BST)

Firefox or Opera. I also use IE6,7 and Safari, but just to test if my formatting works. Thanks for the tip, I didn't even think of doing that. Anyway, I think this filter is useless. Now that we require verification for external links, we shouldn't need it to prevent bots from editing. It's just a pain, as most of the established and useful pages are unable to be edited in their entirety. I'll have a talk to Joe about it.--Doddy 04:29, 20 August 2007 (BST)
Okie dokie.--Mr A. 05:56, 20 August 2007 (BST)

Another Thing For Doddy's To Do List

Reformat the Fallacy of Opposition page, please?--Mr A. 18:45, 24 September 2007 (BST)

Ok, I did that. But in doing so, I couldn't help but notice that it seems to be just a necessary conclusion of the Appeal to Confidence. "Because I'm confident I'm right (Appeal to Confidence), then everyone who disagrees with me must be wrong." Perhaps I could merge them, but I can't find any sites that deal with either of these two fallacies.--Doddy 07:18, 25 September 2007 (BST)

Vandal IPs

Just to let you know, those IPs that vandalize with a string of nonsense are actually bots, rather than actual vandals. You should ban them permanently, otherwise, the bots of that IP will return to vandalize again.--Mr A. 06:49, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

PS, I really like that quote idea you started at Evolution is only a theory. I can't wait until we find another quote for another page.--Mr A. 06:50, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
