[edit] Evolutionary Biology

I love the books I've read that share the exploration of the author and help me understand the possible reasons and functions behind my own life experiences.

[edit] Yes, changes over thousands of generations are hard to imagine

I think the hard part for "creationists" is imagining evolution over thousands of generations, and yes, so-called "chance" having a significant influence in making opportunities.

[edit] Fear

Sadly, I think many people are unconfident in or uncertain of their "belief" in an other worldly "god" and so look for support in the real world. It's not there. If it were, then we wouldn't have to have faith!

[edit] Faith

Faith is what you have when you have no reason to have faith.

Those who seek to proove their faith have no faith, after all.

Proof is the opposite of faith, and is only required by people who have no faith.

[edit] Creationism is anti-"Christian"

Jesus couldn't care less about the origins of anything, much less evolution. Jesus only cared that you love.

[edit] The miracle of Jesus

The miracle of Jesus was that he didn't see people as broken, so, when people then saw themselves as not broken, they were "healed". How did they get broken in the first place? People around them - their families and society - saw them as broken, and told them so, and treated them as broken, and so they came to accept it, and act broken. What is "broken"? Believing we must bear suffering for our parent's sins. Believing that "inappropriate love" is a sin. And so on. All falsehoods. However, if we convince ourselves that falsehoods are real, then it makes sense that we would be "blind", "deaf" and so on.
