Uncyclopedia is a parody wiki which is hosted by wikia. It began in January 2005 and now has over 23,000 articles. It has many different categories of articles including UnNews, UnBooks, and Howto Guides. It pokes fun at popular culture, religious extremists, creationists, terrorists, Americans, and conservatives. It has been accused of having a left-wing bias by Conservapedia but has also been known to make fun of liberals as well. Recurring jokes on the site include kitten huffing (a reference to drug use), misquoting Oscar Wilde, and quotes from other well known characters including Chuck Norris, Captain Obvious, Kanye West, and Russian Reversal. Uncyclopedia is generally supportive of science and evolution and parodies the religious right and creationism.
Accusation by creationists
Creationists accuse uncyclopedia of containing anti creationist articles like creationism and evilution. They accuse Uncyclopedia of parodying creationism with pro creationist phrases such as, "Evolution is a vile, satanist religion that will land all its followers in hell," and, "Conservapedia contains unquestionable divine truths, and anyone who disagrees will be branded as a heretic." They also accuse many editors of Uncyclopedia of clearly hating creationism.
