Introduction
Creationists refer to Creationism as "Science". "Creation Science" is a theory which believes that the world was created by "God", as described in the Book of Genesis. The concept of "God" is the starting point and the foundation of the entire theory of 'Creation Science'. However since this concept is supernatural, and outside the realm of science, it is a mistake to refer to such a theory as a Scientific Theory.
This is the cause of tremendous confusion among common public and sometimes even among the creationists, who start comparing this theory with other scientific theories. For those on the scientific side, the entire Creationism versus Evolution episode is simply about putting an end to this confusion.
However, more needs to be done to uproot this confusion than simply putting quotes around "science" in Creation "Science." The first step is to appropriately replace the word "Creation Science" by the word Believology. Further finer classification of "Believologists" based on their approach is given below.
Types of Creationists
- Christian Believologists : Bible believing Believologists.
- Muslim Believologists : Qoran believing Believologists.
- Bibologists : Christian Believologists interested in promoting literal translation of the Bible as the ultimate truth.
- Sub-Scientific Believologists : Believologists who insist that although 'God' is supernatural, everything else they say is scientific.
- Hyper-Scientific Believologists : Sub-Scientific Believologists who like to emphasize that their theory although not completely scientific is 'beyond science' or 'better than science' or 'capable of explaining what science cannot explain'.
- Monkey-Phobiologists : Believologists who hate to consider a theory which tells them that they shared a common ancestor with monkeys.
- Communi-Phobiologists : Believologists who argue that accepting the theory of Evolution will lead to the spread of Communism in this world.
- Nazi-Phobiologists : Believologists who argue that accepting the theory of Evolution will lead to the spread of Nazism in this world.
- Communazi-Phobiologists : Believologists who argue that accepting the theory of Evolution will lead to the spread of Communism and Nazism in this world (although Nazists have historacly ben anti-communist and many communists have historacly ben anti-nazist.)
- Taxnologists : these are Bibologists who believe in Kent Hovind's theory. Also known as "Ataxologists" or "Notaxologists."
- Theologists : Believologists who do not consider concocting another name as an essential necessity.
Remarks
- Just like Christian Believologists, as need arises one can also consider Hindu Believologists, Jewish Believologists, or even Catholic Believologists, Protestant Believologists, Shia Believologists, Sunni Believologists, etc.
- One can also combine the above names. For example a Bibologist who shows the above mentioned signs of monkey-phobia can be called a Monkey-Bibologist. The word "phobio-" is dropped while combining to keep the resulting name shorter. Monkey-Bibologists should not be confused with "Monkey-Bibliographers," which is an entirely different profession all together.
- Taxnologists are automatically communi-monkey-sub-scientific-Bibologists. So combining Taxnologists with these names is redundant.
- The difference in Christian Believologists and Bibologists is somewhat small because both believe in the bible. However this difference is based on Believologists' classification of degree of belief in the Bible. Bibologists believe in strict inerrancy of the Bible while Christian Believologists believe in substantial accuracy of the Bible. The following example is helpful to understand this difference. Example: the Bible says world was created in six days. While Bibologists interpret and believe in this literally, Christian Believologists consider replacing "six days" with "six years" , "six minutes" etc. as quite harmless as long as the number six is retained.
- Usually Believologists who mention [Big Bang] have been observed to inaccurately compare the Big Bang (which involves changes in the space time metric) with explosions like that of a bomb or extremely loud firecrackers (or other explosions which do not involve significant changes in the space time metric). A special name is being contemplated for Believologists who refute the Big Bang but actually know the technical details. However, no special name has been decided yet, partly because there is no indication so far of Believologists who argue about the Big Bang but at the same time know anything beyond the high-school text book version.
