- The rest of this website demonstrates that creationism is most certainly not a working explanation.
- Evolution and common descent certainly do work! Evolution has been observed numerous times in both the wild, the laboratory and the fossil record for instance the plant Oenothera lamarckiana is known to have given rise to a new species of plant O. gigas in 1905 ce.
- Fundamentalist Hindus believe the Earth is infinitely old, and is constantly destroyed and reformed in a never-ending cycle. That works just as well as anything creationists have come up with.
- Even if it were true that there were no other explanation, it would only mean that there was no other explanation known. In 1400, one could have said, "There's no other working explanation for disease than unbalanced humors", but that wouldn't mean Humor Theory was an accurate theory of disease, only that nobody understood germs yet. A theory is valid based on its explanatory power, not the lack of an alternative.
