1. As most other creationist claims, this shows remarkable ignorance of science. There are reliable methods of dating fossils that have nothing to do with guessing:
   • Radiometric dating of neighboring igneous rock layers
   • Dating from the strata in which the fossils are found using index fossils as a guide
