In this book Hitching explores the nature of the forces that brought about the diversity of life. Although he notes evolution is a fact, he is critical of both Darwinism and creationism. To this end he borrows heavily from the Institute for Creation Research's monthly article Impact. The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society in turn quotes Hitching extensively in its publication Life--How Did It Get Here? By Evolution or By Creation?.
