Talk:No new fossils are being formed
From EvoWiki
So, creationists are saying no new fossils are being formed? Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I am assuming that the statement refers to the formation of mass fossils, ie., bone beds. And I see that the sceptics response is to show examples of fossilization in recent times. What a corner for an evolutionist to back himself into! These examples of recent fossilization only support the hypothesis that fossilization is NOT a uniformitarian process. Harder still is trying to show why dinosaurs and forests in the arctic tundra are found unfossilized in several cases! How does a non-fossilized forest with foliage remained preserved 45 million years punctuated by non -glacial periods of warm climatization while it is now near the surface? Even a Neanderthal can see that erosion would be aggravated under warmer conditions than at present. -- Anon
Er, are you reading a completely different page to me? The response does nothing of the sort. --Steinsky 13:17, 10 Jun 2004 (BST)
