Talk:Jonathan Wells

If the facts are true as proven by empirical science, does the motive matter? Ad hominim attacks? A sad, sorry distration technique. Why does science care, it only wants facts. Who cares if they are provided by an avowed evolutionist with 10 degrees from Darwinistic universities, or a Moonie, or my dog. Feels awfully like there is something important to protect, rather than the cold, hard, unbiased analyzation of empirical evidence. "He can't be trusted, he was once seen in a church. And everyone knows that no religious person of any stripe can every provide anything useful in any scientific discussion." Yeah, tell it to Newton, Pascal et al. Even non-creationist, non-christian, non-'religious' scientists are getting the treatment. Those who are courageous enough to actually examine the theories by looking at the facts and not blindly accepting what they are told to accept as truth (Lemmings). And people wonder why homeschooling is growing... Oops, I forgot, I am not a scientist and only have a Bachelors degree. I am a non-entity, please disregard my life.

What part of the difference between "During my years as a physical science undergraduate and biology graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, I believed almost everything I read in my textbooks." and "Father's words, my studies, and my prayers convinced me that I should devote my life to destroying Darwinism... When Father chose me (along with about a dozen other seminary graduates) to enter a Ph.D. program in 1978, I welcomed the opportunity to prepare myself for battle." are you having trouble comprehending?
-- To be even clearer, this article is not about Wells' motives but about his having different versions of them. --tk
