Parallel evolution

Hmm. Right you are, it wasn't parellel if they were diverging. The parallel hypothesis died in the 1960s. I shall rephrase from "both apes and humans evolved in parallel from a common ancestor" to "both apes and humans evolved independently" from a common ancestor.
