Fish Vs Dinosaurs

Wouldn't the fish, or at least the Osteichthyes, qualify as more successful than the dinosaurs by whatever measure you used? --Suttkus 13:09, 27 March 2006 (BST)

Good point... I guess we thought that "the second most successful group of vertebrates" wouldn't have been as eye-catching.--Mr A. 17:43, 27 March 2006 (BST)

Notice

Fish, primarily bony fish, are the most successful of all vertebrates, and are the most successful aquatic vertebrates. However, BONY FISH DO NOT LIVE ON LAND: Barring climbing perch, walking catfish, and mudskippers, BONY FISH ARE NOT TERRESTRIAL VERTEBRATES. That being said, Dinosaurs, together with the birds, are the most successful of the TERRESTRIAL VERTEBRATES.--Mr A. 00:34, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
