Talk:Carbon

Some suggestions for further improvement:
- I'm not sure why silicon doesn't form long chains. I think it has something to do with electronegativity.
- Would it be safe to say that if some other element (such as silicon) were capable of forming complex structures like carbon and being the basis of some form of life, then there would be a third category of chemistry alongside organic and inorganic chemistry? --Arensb
