Talk:2nd law of thermodynamics applies to information theory

Hi. I randomly got here through Google. The statement on this page that

'the "entropy" in thermodynamics has no more to do with the "entropy" in information theory, than the word "bridge" (meaning "dental appliance") has to do with the word "bridge" (meaning "a four-handed card game").'

Is completely and utterly wrong. The thermodynamic entropy is exactly the information-theoretic entropy applied to the microstate of a physical system and multiplied by Boltzmann's constant. See for instance this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropy_in_thermodynamics_and_information_theory
