Syrphidae

Syrphidae (hoverflies) are large, common and diverse flies which are renowned for their widespread formation of Batesian mimicry rings. Most syrphids as they are principally polinators, mimic Hymenoptera. As a clade the group is defined by the presence of a pseudo-vein in the wing cell.
