Explanation
You commit this fallacy if you make a claim that needs justification, then demand that the opponent justify the opposite of the claim.
In other words it is not sufficient for someone to present a new idea and say that it must be accepted because it cannot be disproved. Indeed, if one is making an exceptionally bold claim then exceptional evidence is expected in its support. Or as Carl Sagan said, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"
