Robert Carroll

Robert Carroll is a paleontologist and evolutionary biologist who holds a doctorate in Biology. Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology at the Redpath Museum, professor of Biology at McGill University in Montreal and former President of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology, Carroll studied under none other than the Dean of vertebrate paleontology, Alfred Sherwood Romer, at Harvard. Carroll is the author of the 1988 revision of Romer's classic tome, "Vertebrate Paleontology and Evolution" and has also authored the text "Patterns and Processes of Vertebrate Evolution." His areas of expertise include the osteology and systematics of early Mesozoic amphibians and reptiles, including both diapsid and synapsid.
