Rebecca Cann

Rebecca Cann is currently Professor of cell and molecular biology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Together with Allan Wilson and others, she is credited with the Mitochondrial Eve Theory.

Cann's current research focuses on the mechanisms by which genetic variants arise and are maintained in populations, investigated primarily using mtDNA sequences.
