Peter Dodson of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine carried out graduate work at Yale, earning his doctorate in geology in 1974. He is particularly interested in the osteology and phylogeny of Ceratopsia, authoring marvelous reviews of the taxon in 1990 and 1996, and discovering and describing the first centrosaurine found in North America in decades (1986). Dodson has also co-authored The Dinosauria (1990), one of the more stupendous reviews of dinosaur osteology and phylogeny yet produced.
