Overwhelming Exception

Explanation
You commit this fallacy if you exclude strongly disconfirming evidence for a hypothesis on the grounds that the conflicting evidence is only an exception and therefore should not discredit the hypothesis. (In this case, an exception is an unexplained deviation from the expected outcome, value, or result.)
Avoiding this Fallacy
In order to avoid committing this fallacy or being unfairly accused of it, it is advisable to clearly indicate in advance of an argument what counts as confirming or disconfirming evidence as well as the degree of exceptional evidence that could reasonably exist.
