Claim
Professional literature is silent on the subject of the evolution of biochemical systems.

Responses
- The claim is blatantly false. The gradual evolutionary models of numerous biochemical systems, such as the blood clotting cascade in vertebrates, the development of prokaryotic and eukaryotic flagella, the comparison of echinoderm and vertebrate immune systems, and the "antifreeze" of Antarctic icefish have been discovered and thoroughly documented.
- Conversely, there has been absolutely no scientific literature published by Intelligent Design Proponents detailing Intelligent Design explanations of any biochemical systems at all. In other words, to paraphrase Behe, "Professional literature is silent on the subject of the Intelligent Design of biochemical systems."
