Spontaneous and historical process of iteration of individual epigenesis of autopoietic entities in a lineage. Diversification of lineages occur by means of changes on the ontogenic phenotype, which if conserved transgenerationally may lead to the establishment of a new lineage.

Notion based on Autopoiesis and Maturana's structural coupling.
