- This argument presumes that the moment at which the Mississippi Delta was created is the same as the moment when the Earth was created. As such, this argument is right up there with "that bookshelf was installed in your home last month, therefore your home must be less than one year old" in terms of accuracy and logical completeness.
- Without the past work of the Army Corps of Engineers, the Mississippi river delta would not exist now, and would be replaced by an Atchafalaya river delta. So the implication that river deltas can change configuration very rapidly is correct.
