Mary Leakey
From EvoWiki
Mary Leakey (1913-1996), paleoanthropologist, wife of Louis Leakey and mother of Richard Leakey, made a number of important finds during her sprawling career despite never having a formal degree. In 1959 she discovered "Nutcracker man", Australopithecus boisei, and in 1978, the "Laetoli footprints", possibly attributable to Australopithecus afarensis.
