Lithornithiformes

Lithornithiformes is a basal grade of primitive neornithines related to the ratite assemblage and the Tinamiformes, and they represent a wide scale radiation of volant paleognaths in the Paleogene (Houde & Olson 1981, Houde 1988, Feduccia 1996).
