  • Vacuous Explanation - when trying to explain a phenomenon, using a concept that does not contain more information than the phenomenon itself
  • Vague Similarities - when arguing for one hypothesis to be true, pointing out another, true hypothesis having some superficial similarities to the first
  • Vagueness - using a term that has fuzzy boundaries as if it hadn't
  • Variant Imagization - when arguing for one hypothesis, using words that presuppose that hypothesis to be true
  • Very Simple Answer - if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail to you
  • Vicious Circle - "A must be true because B is true, and we know that B is true because of A"
