- Eclectic - picking and choosing ideas without good criteria
- Ecological Fallacy - concluding that a property of an element of a set is like the average value of that property for the set
- Either/Or - giving two possibilities as the only two when in reality there are other possibilities

- Elephant Repellent - claiming that for A to be true, you need B and C, when in fact B is enough

- Emphatic - trying to undermine the main point by complaining about a minor point

- Evading the Issue - while pretending to talk about the subject in question, really talking about something else
- Every and All - using the words "every", "all", or "any" in an ambiguous way
- Ex Concessis - attacking the opponent by attacking a person who is somehow related to him
- Exaggeration - claiming that for A to be true, you need B and C, when in fact B is enough
- Excluded Middle - giving two possibilities as the only two when in reality there are other possibilities
- Exclusion - picking and choosing the evidence for one's case, neglecting the evidence against it
- Exclusive Premises - "no mammals are penguins, no mammals are birds. therefore no penguins are birds"
- Exclusivity - if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail to you
- Existential Fallacy - "all unicorns are mammals, therefore some mammals are unicorns"
- Experimenter Bias - when a measurement leaves leeway for the measurer, his prejudices will taint the results
- Extended Analogy - when arguing for one hypothesis to be true, pointing out another, true hypothesis having some superficial similarities to the first
