Leda Cosmides is currently Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she is co-director of the Center for Evolutionary Psychology with anthropologist John Tooby.
Along with Tooby, Steven Pinker, David Buss, Margo Wilson, Martin Daly, Donald Symons and others, Cosmides is credited with helping found evolutionary psychology, with her own research focusing primarily on the evolution of information-processing mechanisms.
