John Tooby is currently Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and co-director of the Center for Evolutionary Psychology with long time collaborator Leda Cosmides.
One of the many individuals credited with founding evolutionary psychology, Tooby's research interests range from the adaptive function of sexual reproduction to the evolution of information-processing mechanisms.
