Ice Age

Ice Age officially refers to any of the various periods of glaciation during the Pleistocene period. The term is also used to refer to other glaciation events that occurred before the Pleistocene, as well, such as the glaciation event that happened in southern Pangaea during the Permian period when it was positioned over the South Pole, or the ice age that occurred near the beginning of the Ordovician.
