IDist

Intelligent designist (IDist) or Intelligent designologist (IDologist), or derisively IDiot, : one who advocates Intelligent Design (ID). It is a strange abbreviation, because no one ever says "Intelligent Design-ist." However, the obvious abbreviation, "IDer", is usually used to refer to The Intelligent Designer (sorry, intelligent designer), which is generally not the same thing as the ID advocate. Thus IDist was coined to distinguish IDists from IDers, and avoid sentences like "That IDer is wrong when he says that the IDer IDed the ID IDology."

According to legend, the derogative term IDiot was derived from IDist after someone's Microsoft Word auto-spellcheck got hold of "IDist".
