Henry Morris

Henry Morris (October 6, 1918 – February 25, 2006) was a creationist engineer who founded or co-founded lots of creationist organizations, including:
- Institute for Creation Research
- Deluge Geology Society
- American Scientific Affiliation
- Creation-Science Research Center
- Christian Heritage College
- Creation Research Society.
He died in 2006 (on Saturday, Feburary 25) of a stroke while in hospital recovering from an earlier, but more minor, stroke he suffered on Feburary 1. He was 87 when he died. Reference to the latest news is below.

- His A Creationist's Defense of the King James Bible (pamphlet, I.C.R. 1996), states that the KJV is the best translation of the creation story mainly because it most closely matches his prior beliefs which, of course, he owes to reading the KJV.
- Served on the North America Overview Committee for the New King James Version translation of Genesis, although he admits that he can't read Hebrew. Apparently, Henry Morris is a monoglot with no expertise in translation at all.
