- Homo heidelbergensis is well established as the progenitor of the Neanderthals. Several skeletons including intact craniums have been found. The idea that the only evidence of this species is a jaw bone is completely made up by Jack Chick. This would fall into the category of misinformation and deceit rather than a logical fallacy.
