Greg Paul
From EvoWiki
Gregory Paul is a free-lance dinosaur paleontologist and artist, who has not unlike Robert Bakker earned something of a reputation as a maverick in the field. Paul's work on the systematics and paleobiology of theropods and the derivation of birds has in large part been quite innovative, and he is the principal advocate of the hypothesis that some of the most par-avian of Maniraptora are in fact neoflightless post-urvogels. His extensive review of theropod and avian phylogeny offered in his 2002 work Dinosaurs of the Air, best elaborates these arguments, in addition to his 1988 Predatory Dinosaurs of the World.
