Evolutionary creationism

Evolutionary creationism is a synthesis of the religious belief in a creator God with the scientific theory of evolution. It holds that these two beliefs are not incompatible, but rather complement each other.
Evolutionary creationists believe that creation happened by the scientific processes that we can observe, including Evolution, but invoke God as the guide of these processes towards a goal of intelligent life. Many evolutionary creationists believe in an ontological leap which separates humans from other organisms.
