Responses
- A bauplan is not written in the genes.
- Rather than the popular assumption that DNA contains a 'blueprint' for an organism, it should be considered a 'recipe'. No particular piece of DNA accounts for a particular piece of an organism, rather, an organism is a complex result of a series of actions and reactions, much like a particular ingredient in a cake recipe like eggs, or flour, cannot be said to be responsible for a particular crumb from said cake
