Electron capture
From EvoWiki
Electron capture is a form of atomic decay where an isotope has too many protons in its nucleus, and not enough energy to emit a positron. As such, instead of emitting a positron, one of the nuclear protons will capture one of the orbital electrons to form a neutron, and release a neutrino.
