Cosmos has an axis, contrary to Big Bang models

Claim
Anisotropies in the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMB) measured by WMAP (Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe) show an axis. The Big Bang proposes no special orientations, so an axis discredits the Big Bang theory, but it is consistent with creationist cosmology.

Responses
- The early CMB graphs show an anisotropy passing horizontally through the center because this is the plane of the Milky Way. The CMB itself has no such axis.
- WMAP images do not contain this axis at all. Only pre-WMAP images of the CMB (e.g. COBE) do.
- The anisotropy of the CMB as a whole is negligibly small, for any purpose besides Big Bang cosmology.
- Even if true, this would in no way be consistent with creationist cosmology, since it still demands a 14-GY old universe. This claim does not dispute the origin of the cosmic microwave background radiation, but rather implicitly endorses it (if it isn't what is claimed, the argument here is totally irrelevant).
