Chemical evolution

Chemical evolution is a nonstandard synonym for "abiogenesis". This term is used almost entirely by Creationists who wish to persuade their audience that the theory of evolution is somehow dependent on abiogenesis, and who typically go on to assert that the relative weakness of theories of abiogenesis constitute some sort of problem for the theory of evolution.
