Category talk:Creationist organisations
From EvoWiki
I believe this page would be more useful and also the entries for the organizations if there is consistent nomenclature, either the TLA or the name. CSC (Center for Scientific Creation) has 'CSC' as its main page (and also then here in the category list) and 'Center for Scientific Creation' as a redirect to CSC. Several other organization are similarly defined. However most of the organizations are indexed with their full name. While typing a long name can be tedious, nonetheless consistency seems useful. Thus I would propose:
- The information about an organization is on a page with the full name of that organization.
- On that page if even acronym or abbreviation is commonly used, provide that as links, marking with 'also known as'
- Maintain a page under these alternative names as redirects back to the fully organization name page
- In both categories and the list_of_creationist_organizations use a consistent link (full name)
Since I have set as a personal goal to contribute to EvoWiki to substantially upgrade the information related to creationist organizations, I would make the changes to achieve consistency if there is no objection after a suitable review period. --Dmill96 00:58, 7 March 2006 (GMT)
- I support this. As I argued on EvoWiki:Discussion, abreviations should be avoided if possible. They should be mentioned on the page, but the Title should be the full name. Markus Schmaus 01:26, 7 March 2006 (GMT)
