Claim
The Castenedolo and Olmo human skulls from Italy and the Calaveras skull from California invalidate the geologic column. They were modern skulls, but all were found in undisturbed Pliocene strata.

Response
- These are not sound examples—the Castenedolo and Calaveras skeletal material shows evidence of being an intrusive burial, that is, a more recent burial into older geologic strata, since all the fossils apart from the human remains had time to be impregnated with salt whereas the Castenedolo and Calaveras obviously were not impregnated with salt.
- Olmo is not a modern skull.
- Calaveras has been proven that it was a hoax planted into much more ancient geological strata by miners.
- Creationist think-tank Answers in Genesis agrees that this claim is false, and is on their list of arguments that should not be used.
- Creationwiki also agrees that this claim is false.
