CSC, Center for Scientific Creation. This center seems to only consist of Walt Brown and as a site to promote his book In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood. The hardcopy book is available for sale, but also available in HTML format in many pieces on the CSC website with many cross-links. Often the book introduces a subtopic (usually an audacious claim) and promises to deal it somewhere else, but the links don't always seem to reach the promised more detailed explanations and sometimes link back to the original claim. Reading the entire book online would be a tedious proposition, as repetition seems to be a major ingredient of his writing style.

His "unanswered" "debate" challenge is frequently mentioned as proof of the validity of the ideas he presents in the book. As much of his material is about geology an "evolutionist" (presumably biology background) may not have the background to deal with all the geological issues so probably geologists would more easily debunk his claims (such as continental drift at speeds of 50mph!) While it appears other creationist sites don't have any particular connection with CSC, they do frequently mention the work as a plausible flood story, but in some cases Walt Brown has disputes with other creationist sites and doesn't permit cross-postings.

ToDo: There are many claims in this book so it is a significant project to try to track them all down, summarize them, and then rebut them individually, but this may be an interesting effort if it turns out Brown's claim are commonly used by others. --Dmill96 00:14, 17 March 2006 (GMT)
