Bones of the hindlimb

The hindlimb (known as the lower limb in humans, and hindleg in most other tetrapods) is the posterior limb and is attached to the pelvic girdle proximally and to the pes distally and is composed of bones allowing for mobility and, in most animals, physical support. In most tetrapods, these bones include:

• Femur

• Patella

• Tibia

• Fibula
