An old earth would be covered by 182' of meteoric dust

Claim:
The observed rate of cosmic dust influx should have produced a layer 182 feet thick over the entire surface of the earth if the earth were 5 billion years old. The distinctive nickel and iron content of the dust should make it easy to detect.

Response:
- This claim is dependent on the implicit presumption that there are no processes whatsoever which can remove bits of the Earth's surface from wherever they happen to lie. Apparently, the claimant is unaware of the erosive powers of water and wind, the subduction of benthic matter into the mantle, and that Earth's core is indeed nickel-iron, among other relevant factors.
