A. G. Sharov

A. G. Sharov, Russian paleontologist and expert on Pterosauria. Sharov discovered and described the small pterosaur Sordes pillosus, from which some researchers concluded tht pterosaurs possessed a hairlike integument. Sharov also discovered and described the contentious possible-archosaur Longisquama insignis, in 1970 (later hailed as the sine qua non proof of a "thecodont" origin of birds).
